Divine Breath Baptist Church is a new church created in November 2003 in respond to some spiritual and social struggles in the Haitian community. Serving the Lord for over thirty years, and living in the Haitian Community for more than twenty years, Pastor Michelet Polection founded Divine Breath Baptist Church. The project started in a small place where I used to meet with other Christians to debate relevant questions about Christianity in the community. Those meetings were turned out into a blessing for us. As time by, a great number of people attended the meeting. After about three years, I received God’s calling to begin the Church. With no reluctance, Divine Breath Baptist Church was founded in Erie, Philadelphia.
The Church has solved diverse types of problems in the community; from spiritual, financial, to familial issues. We are the eyes, ears, and hands of the people of our community. Not only we provide direct assistance, we also help our members building their future. The church remains stick at its mission statement which preaching the gospel of God to the world with no prejudice of color or races so that everyone can be saved. Beside that, we are working hard to create a suitable environment that will provide a better life style to our community and all Philadelphians through bible teaching, social assistance, and other programs.
The church does not really establish a membership structure system where members have to pay a certain amount to register; however, our members are knowledgeable about the recommendations of the bible. Therefore, they voluntary pay their tithes, give significant offerings, and contribute to all other fund raisings and activities that we are conducting.
Over the time, our church extends considerably. We presently have a good number of members registered in our book. God has blessed us and He will continue pouring his blessing on us.
Divine Breath Baptist Church is so fortunate and proud to use its resources to bring people to God, change life, and assist the poor. The Church is determined to provide resources and ways for new members to improve their skills while helping others. In the name of God, we are confident that the work will be done. |
